About Me

My photo
Paonia, CO, United States
I have discovered that life is a roller coaster and I'm learning to enjoy the ride! I am a married mom of 4. I work part-time outside of the home and, of course, more that full time as a wife and mother! I do classes from my craft room in the basement...which is why we call it the "Craft Cave."

Blowing in the Wind...

...was one of my favorite songs as a kid. (Yes, I know I'm OLD, my husband won't let me forget it!)

This card makes me think of "blowing in the wind." That poor little mouse looks like he's hanging on for dear life! I tried to make it look somewhat like he was being tossed around with the leaves, but I don't think I accomplished that.
Sketch look familiar? Yep, same as yesterday! I scored a couple lines around the saying there also, don't know if you can see it too well in the photo. I like to striped paper from Sands of Time though, they do look somewhat like fall.
Open house is coming up really soon! Have your marked your calender? Have you told all your friends? There will be some new goodies in the prize basket....

Journey Manila journal

Here is a photo of a manila envelope book I created a while ago. This was the first Prop swap I ever made. I used the Sand of Time paper and also Rustic Chic. I had a couple pieces of cardstock that matched the envelopes perfectly and I slipped those inside also! This project was inspired by a class at A Scrapbooker's Dream in Delta. I hope it inspires you!
Class Updates:
Friday night will be open craft night. Starts at 5:00...come when you can!
For those of you that missed the Spring Stamp-a-Stack...we had loads of fun!! Next one will be Saturday before Thanksgiving for the 3rd Annual Christmas Stamp-a-Stack.
Next Stamp Camp will be Wenesday, April 9 at 7:00. Be sure to let me know you are coming so I can prep supplies. We will be creating a mini scrapbook, a monthly card holder, and ....something else!
For anyone drinking Crystal Light...please save your packaging tubes!!
Hopefully I'll have more to post after I get my camera back or get a new one!! (I'm hoping for a new one this weekend!)

More for Valentine's

Just finished doing a BUNCH of sample sheets. Whew!

I wanted to get one more heart card in before the weekend is completely over! This one is done on birch cardstock and complimented with Sand of Time. The background hearts are stampe with Pearlescent Beige and the heart in You is filled in with pink Stickles.
